(3193) Krasnov, Piotr Nikolaievich (1869-1947). “Amazonka Pustyni”.
Original typescript, 2nd copy. 226 pages. 20,5. Amateur hardbound binding with embossed illustration. Samizdat dated at some point between 1959 and 1962.
Novel taken from the Berlin edition of 1922. All the texts by Krasnov were forbidden from publication in Soviet Russia and on the entirety of the territories of the USSR. The mere possession of any piece writing from this author in any guise led to immediate and severe sanctions. This samizdat was typewritten with the complicity of an employee at the Lenin Library in Moscow.
It would seem that there were no other samizdats of Krasnov’s work in circulation; in any case this is certainly the case after the arrival of L. Brejnev to power.
