American writer, author of sentimental prose and wife to the writer Charles Norris, Kathleen Norris was the best paid female writer of her time. Several of her novels were very popular. Her novels often take place in California where she described in detail the lifestyles of high society. her grand-daughter married the Prince Andrei Romanov.
Kathleen Norris featured in the large number of writers whose genre of literature was officially forbidden and relegated to the basements of Soviet libraries.
